Job Description:/h3:
We are looking for a Chief Sales Officer who has experience in the Hospitality, Retail, Multi:Family and Commercial Sector in (Interior Design and Lighting).
Our ideal candidate is someone who has worked with interior design teams with hotels, retail stores, multi:family and commercial real estate to strategize our sales efforts to sell our products to these Sales Channels.
Reporting directly to the COO, the Chief Sales Officer will help determine and then execute the companys sales strategy, while providing guidance to the companys sales, marketing, and technical teams. The (CSO) will proactively engage the support of other functional leaders to secure the long:term global strategic vision of the company. As currently established, the (CSO) will establish separate, but complementary strategies to exploit the Companys value on High:End Custom and Standard Product lines/markets. Significant management of hospitality, retail, multi:family and commercial sales with designer:based products is a Must.
Candidate must have experience with channel dynamics, including a combination of hospitality, consumer, hospital/health, commercial, residential and consumer. Must have created, managed and maintained a market channel, including determining, appropriate sales staffing (outside reps, company field sales, regional sales management, dealers, distributors, and inside sales support). Must possess and implement the wisdom to fashion each diverse channel for success and maximized profitability. Experience in consumer markets is a plus.
Experience Required
The Chief Sales Officer should be a seasoned sales executive with 7:10+ years in industry:relevant sales for a company with 150+ million in annual sales. The candidate should have at least the last 3:5 years in a senior sales position that reports to a companys senior leadership team. They must have a demonstrated track record of creating and improving operational sales strategies, while meeting or exceeding stakeholder needs. Experience in an electronics:based company that bifurcated their products into high:value custom and commodity channels. Initial direct reports may include Sales VPs/Directors for hospitality, residential, commercial, sr. living and health care, and consumer (several roles to be filled), and the Director of Sales Operations (inside sales). The (CSO) is defined by high energy, drive, determination and encouragement.
Significant experience selling high:priced, highest value products, with proven strategies to overcome price sensitivity through total cost value statements. Must possess extensive understanding of pricing and margin
enhancement/protection strategies. The Chief Sales Officer must have a proven track record of comprehensive sales planning and management of diverse channels and sales tactics to achieve objectives based on the various Value Propositions of markets and product lines.
